Congress Votes Down ELD Delay Effort

ELD deadline is quickly approaching, whether the Trucking industry is ready or not! December 18, 2017, is still the date that has been set for companies to comply with its use.
Legislative efforts to delay this mandate by two years had to wait until Congress returned in September from its summer recess. Now that Congress is back in session, they considered “H.R. 3282, ELD Extension Act of 2017”, the bill introduced by U.S. Representative Brian Babin (TX-36) to delay imposition of the mandate. However, the House failed to pass it – therefore no such delay will be enacted at this point.
